My Side of the Mt.

Now here is a great book.  The first book I read aloud to my daughter, a few years back.  It was a joy to read to her, just as it was so long ago when I read it to myself.  A boy who runs away to the woods and lives off the land, is self reliant, in tune with nature, making a go of it all.  Maybe this is where my Alaska Cabin fixation comes into play.  Lord knows, I do not want to root around in a hollowed out tree, as did Master Sam Gribley.  Cabin with a fire and running water is my preference.
