The many taxi rides I took this week lived up to my Hollywood fed notions of cabbies. Loud, yelling, sweaty men driving in ways I have never experienced. Charging through red lights, screaming around trucks when there was no visable room to pass, running down pedestrians daring them to step off the curb, getting the cab airborne as we launched over a rise in the street…OMG. I went from genuine fear to relaxed amusement, all in a couple rides. What an experience.
