Most bizarre Winter Olympics has to be the Tanya Harding fiasco where her skate boot was not tight enough, or so she pleaded to the judges, after she messed up her routine.  Less criminal than whacking Nancy on the knee with a club, yes, but still more bizarre.  I lunch sometimes at The Dockside, here on the waterfront in industrial downtown Portland.  They explain on the back of their menu how they found some suspicious trash in their dumpster, all those years ago, when the scandal was unfolding, and it was all full of Tanya Harding information and the Nancy incident.  From the dumpster to the Police, it helped to seal old Tanya’s fate.  But alas, as my Mom would always say…She was a good jumper!
